Meet the Artist

I can’t remember a time when I was not fascinated by yarn, fiber, and cloth. Learning to knit at an early age was the spark that ignited the passion. Clothes for dolls, eventually a sweater for me, and then a sweater for the boyfriend. You know how it goes. Learning to weave was a natural progression. I have been weaving since 1996 when I accepted a job in the Textile Barn at the Landis Valley Museum in Lancaster, PA. Prior to that I had been demonstrating wool processing and spinning at various historical sites in the Berks County, PA area.

My mission is to create one-of-a kind, affordable, handcrafted items for you and your home. Being handcrafted does not have to mean excessively expensive to own and enjoy. I love creating beautiful, fashionable scarves and warm shawls. These can be accompanied by felted hats, purses, and decorative pins in a wide array of colors. On the practical side, I weave kitchen towels and table runners fit for your heirloom furniture. I also specialize in custom-made ecclesiastical textiles for churches, monasteries, and other places of worship.

Choosing the yarns in all of their lovely colors and putting together a new project are just the beginning of the thrilling process. Watching it unfold as I weave or knit is simply the best reward I know, second only to sharing these wonderful pieces with family, friends, and customers.

I am a member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, Reading-Berks Chapter and Chester County Craft Guild, where I am juried for handweaving and felting. From September through December, you can see me in person at many local fine art and craft shows throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. A list of show dates and locations can be found here. You can also find my work for sale at the following shops and galleries:
